Safety within our neighborhood is the primary concern of all Lost Plantation Home Owners Association board members. The reckless operation of golf carts, operation of golf carts by minors, and general nuisances being carried out with golf carts on our neighborhood streets demand immediate action. By unanimous decision of the Lost Plantation Home Owners Association Board of Directors, an amendment to the Lost Plantation Declaration of Covenants, Restrictions, and Easements for Lost Plantation, now require all property owners operating a golf cart to register their golf cart with the Home Owners Association.

The one-time golf cart registration fee is $25.00. Property owners that register their golf carts on the dates listed below will be at a discounted fee of $15.00. Identification numbers will be issued to all golf cart owners for placement on their golf cart. Proof of ownership and insurance will be required to register your golf cart with the Home Owner's Association. Most homeowner insurance policies automatically provide golf cart liability insurance.

Local Law Enforcement has been notified of the mandatory golf cart registration, and have been invited, and encouraged, to patrol our neighborhood. Anyone not displaying a registration number on their golf cart, and/or operating a golf cart under the age of 16 unsupervised by an adult, is subject to being stopped, questioned, and ticketed.

Discounted registration days will be:

Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 9 am - Noon, and 1 pm - 4 pm AT THE POOL AREA
Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 9 am - Noon, and 1 pm - 4 pm AT THE POOL AREA

All other golf cart registrations will be by appointment with a Lost Plantation Home Owner's Association board member.

Please download and complete the golf cart registration form, and have exact payment when registering your golf cart. Proof of ownership and insurance are required at time of registration. Only exact cash and checks will be accepted.

Thank you for your support, cooperation, and compliance with this amendment to the covenants.
